    KVK2 & early LDO box.

    HI
Comments and value on this one would be nice, please.
I am more interested in the box really, no markings anywhere except the LDO logo. There is however a very feint '3.50' in pencil on the inside of the lid, top left hand side, and possibly there was a label on the inside if the lid, but its gone now. Would the 3.50 be the original price ?? its certainly got the style of numbering typical of that period. When did they stop using th old LDO logo ??

Thanks, I picked it up this weekend...
          Whats it worth ?
I know there was some confusion recently on the estand with one of these sets selling on for under the market value, and the seller then came to a more agreeable arrangement with the buyer after the cheapness of it was flagged by other members. I just want to be sure that I am not out of pocket with mine.

It always amazes me how people view a certain situation! I was the buyer of the cased KVK from the E-stand i contacted the member off my own bat a few minutes after buying and agreed a more reasonable price! with the help of a moderator and sscrooge no member interference was required
Detlev sold one in much better condition than this example for £140 a few weeks back take into account Detlevs prices and the condition and i would say between 75 and 100.

              Thanks jam.
I only caught that thread once and since its dissapeared off the site I couldnt confirm or remember its contents clearly. Its nice to hear that you offered more than the asking price on your own valition. I know you were not pushed into a situation by other members, just nice comments there on your honesty.
Glad I didnt pay too much for mine, I was just worried about the condition slightly.
When I first saw it, it had an EK2 in it, but this did not sit right, so I said it was for a KVK2, so the seller put one in and put it up for £50.

Nice catch i to have seen these for sale with EK2's in them and agree these should be for the KVK

Yes, theres not enough room at the top for the larger EK2 suspension ring. It fits just right with the smaller KVK2 ring.
I assume when new, the ribbon would just be folded and laid over the top of the medal in the box.

I agree these brown colored cases are (for the norm) reserved for the KVK2 classes. I would also think the ribbon was not threaded through the ring when assembled, but neatly folded and laying on top of the cross when purchased in the shop.
