I wasn't aware the S&L made these, and that '4' is unlike their other '4' which is an incused stamp found on other awards...maybe some others know more.

              No expert here either, but...

For a piece stamped "900" silver, does the patina look natural to anyone?

S&L did, I believe, make these, but I have never handled one, so can't comment further.

Gordon Williamson is in process of publishing a book on KVK's; you could email him or ask over at GMIC where he is a moderator.

The overall finish still concerns me. Could just be the PICS, or the metal is not right, just can't say without holding it in hand. I would expect a different look to a piece marked 900 though.

Thanks -- I had a hard time getting good pictures today. They might be deceptive.

                      I would say...

For the first...A Steinhauer cross should be marked with 935 not 900 ( If I´m right!).

I dont like the pebbling inside the wreath on the obv and rev. Also I don't believe S&L made these.

The pebbling inside the wreath, strange wreath, the 1939 looks strange etc etc plus the weight should be 42,3 to 42,4 grams according to: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/war_...ghts_cross.htm

Low quality all over. Fake in my opinion.

I agree with Laurence, the first strange thing I noticed was the pebbling. I would like to hear what Gordon says as well.
