I mainly collect uniforms and equipment but I had to buy this when I saw it, there is something about it that really appeals to me. I have had it for a few years and it still makes me happy. It is unmarked and I was hoping someone could let me know if it is possible to determine the maker. I don't have the "eye" for the differences in the core and frame from one maker to another, if one of you experts could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance for any opinions.

A very helpful and observant member noticed the appearance of what looks like some overlapping beading on the frame near the swastika and sent me a PM suggesting that this feature might possibly indicate this cross to be a Floch. Sadly, it wouldn't be the first time I was fooled by a Floch... I made this photo comparison between a Floch fake (photo from Peter's excellent article) and my cross on the right. Am I correct in thinking that the differences I see rule out the possibility that my cross is a Floch?Attached Files

Chris,
The larger PICS lead me to believe it's NOT a Floch copy. The overlap does appear slightly more evident in the smaller PICS, but maybe it's just shadows playing tricks in the pictures. The last shot is more telltale IMO and if all Floch copies utilize identical frames, then these are clearly different.
