A bad photo of a nice present from a friend: A Souval copy of the Grand Cross. Beautifully toned with a frame so perfectly fitted I at first thought it was one-piece, with virtually invisible seams. I was able, though, to slide a thin sheet of paper under the frame on the reverse.

Great piece! I also keep a Souval Grand Cross and the complete set of Souval Knight's Crosses. Herr Umlauff, director of Souval, was very proud of his products. He was always proud to say that many Knight's Cross receipients obtained their replacement Knight's Crosses and devices from firma Souval.

The workmanship really is wonderful. My friend found it in a thrift shop in a small South Carolina town. A very thoughtful gift, indeed.
