I always log on to Weitze ever Friday & saw these but the reason i didn't buy was that the pictures were so bad (after all Unissued doesn't mean Mint) so i couldn't tell if they were mint or whether the frames had darkened.
Now i just wish to kick myself very hard

I found the Weitze pictures really good, You have to log on and tick the box for high res. photos. If you just log on and look at small pics they appear very strange though. I too found the condition varied a lot even though listed 1a, each one had its own pluses and minuses.

When their 1a. condition cased Deschler KVKI's came from the horde, I wrote and asked for the nicest piece they had. And, the piece they sent was absolutely mint perfect. Mr. Weite's team is very good to work with.

The condition 2 crosses appear quite tarnished and the cases exhibit some storage damage to a greater or lesser degree. As already stated if you register get some high resolution pics on which to base a judgement.

Packeted EK2's are not rare in any case so you may decide to wait.

Where's the box to tick for high resolution pictures
I always log in, see the item i want, click on the small picture & get a nice big picture.
The problem with those EKII's was that there was no close up picture of the EK's (there is now), just 2 pictures front of packet, EK, ribbon & tissue together & then back. With the EK being so much smaller than the packet it was impossible to see the real condition.

One of my Deschler cross sets has about this same finish to the frame, which is actually very nice looking. No wear, just storage ageing.

Ant, sounds like clicking pic or checking box gets same big photos. I downloaded them to Windows Pictures and then zoomed in on the cross to get good close ups.
