    EK1 mm L/19 question

I'm considering purchasing a denazified L/19 EK1 with a non magnetic core. I haven't seen many of these come up for sale so I'm wondering if this is one of the rarer manufacturers. I have to choose between an EK1 mm 20 and this L/19; both are denazzed and each of the individual awards looks the way I like 'em. I can't afford both so which one should I get???

    L/19

    Hello,

I think you will find that L/19 is far less often found. Have a look at the graph on this linked page. It is found within the 1939 EKI rarity stat thread...

      Compare

In case you need one to compare with here is mine. Also non mag. I like them as they are a very solid little cross.

L/19s are a very uncommon cross.
I have been looking a long time but I still haven´t found a magnetic one.

Does anybody have a magnetic L/19?

            Markus

I think the L/19 sounds a more interesting cross
I have one, but would love to see one denazified. Do you have pics?

Wow Robert, that is a weird, chunky pin catch! The catch on most EKs look like bent wire but this looks like it's cut from sheet steel or something...

They were made from brass stock. Wernstein used this same catch on their badges, as well as some other makers. Here's a IAB Wernstein made using the same catch...
