Well I certainly have learned something tonight
and my appreciation is GREAT to all that have shown me the light.
I thought it might be too good to be true and that is why
    I inquired this forum.
Book investment is at hand now to teach me subtle differences
    on these medals.
As well as giving Barry the news.
If anyones got suggestions on books, lay them down.
    Sad I am though.................
But at least you guys help steer me clear of what might have been
    an unwise decision.
Oh well, back up on the horse as they say and keep riding
until I find what I'm looking for.
I still want one of these in great condition.........
    Provided it's the real deal.

    Thanks again guys.
Your sharp eyes has yet foiled another deal gone bad.
    Cheers

In regards to this cross, I personally would not have a problem with purchasing it. I have followed the discussions and tend to agree that it is a period piece. But if this is to be the only example in your collection, you should know everything about it.

I certainly agree that knowing everything about what you have (or are planning to have) is an absolute must--especially since most of what we collect is so incredibly expensive.

I have dealt with emedals before and I can say with full confidence that it was a faultless transaction. Barry is easy to talk to and understanding with layaway plans for his more expensive items. Nice Cross you got- although I am a bit confused as to whether or not it was actually purchased!

From my reading, it looks as if a transaction was cancelled due to a change of decision. However, I'm not really sure either.

Well the transaction hasn't been canceled as of yet.
The jury's still out on this one until I find more proof on the matter.
I've sent an email to Barry in regards to my concern especially after
I've seen the same exact medal posted here on another thread.
It's a shame ( but I'm not surprised) that such items as these would
            be subject to forgery.
            But my learning continues...................
            Cheers

There's nothing wrong with these dotted "20's".

There's everything right with these dotted German Crosses. They are a proven variant, another original Zimmermann. One of very few TR collectibles that have actually been 'scientifically proven' original. As right as rain.
