    knights cross info

    I was told that if the inside beading of the inner part of the cross has what looks like cross hatch pattern at the edges , this is considered a design flaw and indicates a war time production . I am looking a an L/12 800 stamped model . Any thoughts on this ? Thanks , Keith

      Keith, if you are talking about something like the below pic it wouldn't be considered a 'flaw' at all. It is the design of one of the inner corners of a Juncker Knight's Cross.

      That said, however...there has been attempts to replicate the 'look'!

          Ludwig, the Cross isn't mine although when it was offered to me I did take some pics! It's a micro 2 and it had significant paint loss on the reverse while the front was faily stable.
