War Merit Cross MM 55

Have been given this cross, so nothing to lose. Just wondering your opinions & if you can identify the maker 65!

Looks ok to me, later war zinc cross with some finish still left.

According to the LDO list 55 is JE Hammer & Sohne but I don't have 55 on my kvk2 maker list. Not that I know every kvk2 maker but are you sure it's 55 and not 65? The first 5 looks more like a 6 to me.

Frank, your 100%... its 65, pretty hard to see it on the bronze finish.

That's one of the more familiar makers, Klein & Quenzer from Idar-Oberstein, if you don't know that already
