I've never seen a mm "18" KVK but I like the look of the one you have here. The vaulted appearance does appear that is was done when it was made as I do not see any vaulting marks that one would normally see on a field altered example.
I like the hardware of this piece, the vaulting also. The swastika on the obverse is very shallow, but I have seen others that compare. The maker mark I have never seen before, and can find nothing like it in the search tool. I don't see Karl Wurster on the KVKI list either:
So, I don't know where to go from here.???

I've never seen a mm18 before too. Wondered what the cross could be then, went through my files and found the cross below.
Strange thing is that it looks exactly like yours but if you blow up the last pic of the pin it's clearly, to me, a 13 aka Gustav Brehmer?! Also very unlikely imo, so.....?
I'm beginning to think they're both fakes. Look at the indent at the top of both pins - both exactly the same. I presume yours is vaulted as well, it looks like it is. No, I think some faker is stamping these close copies with different stamps to try and scramble our minds. I really didn't like the '18' on the pin, and now seeing the '13', it's evident we're dealing with copies.
It looks like it's vaulted but can't tell for sure. Anyway, I'm convinced like you these are fakes. The obverses look ok but luckily they chose the odd mm's.
On a sidenote I wonder if the same guys are behind this "mint" cross. The swords and the shape of the pin are different but the hinge, the catch with the plate under and the way the pin is attached to the hinge (L shape) looks very similar.
