                  I have never seen a more 'unfinished' cross before. The frame is needing filing.

                      Your cross. In posts # 1 and 3 there is a lot of extra frame material on the inside of two arms that should have been filed away. Still a nice cross, but they let this one go without finishing it as nicely as the reverse side frame.

                        Excess metal needing filing. Mine has this same excess metal on the inside 3:00 arm.

                            Heck, this is nothing. I have crosses, nice crosses, with the frame riding way up on top of the swastika. One cross, a mint Deschler, has the the jump ring all goofed up, bent, etc., anything but perfect. I don't think they were too concerned about how perfect every detail was at the end of the war. As long as the piece was 'presentable'...

                            Here's that Deschler with the odd jump ring, something you would think Deschler would make right before letting go...
