Golden Diamonds or Grand Cross?

some books told us the Golden Diamonds is the highest grade.but others said that the Grand Cross is. so which is the right or more acurate parlance?

For bravery the Diamonds, the Grand Cross was reserved to General rank as reward for an outstanding contribution to the war effort, Goring receive it for the part of the Luftwaffe in the campaign in the West so not a bravery award per se.

Just my 2 cents.

Each decoration was awarded just once. Goering, the Grand Cross and Rudel, the Diamonds with Oakleaves and Swords in Gold. It's a toss up. There seems to be more examples of the 1939 Grand Cross that are known when compared to just Rudel's awards.
