    EK I 1914+spange 1939

This maybe a stupid question but to a 'dagger' guy it makes me wonder...

If one wore the EKI 1914 and the spange 1939 would he be entitled to wear the EK 1st class nazi style ?

    Thanks,

    Kris.

    Hello Kris,
As far as I know, he would only be entitled to wear the 1914 EK1 with the 1939 Bar/spange. even if he no longer had an original 1914 EK1 he could get a 1914 replacement.
I've never seen any photo evidence of anyone wearing a 1939 EK1 and a 1939 bar.

    Regards
    Andy

But would he be allowed to wear the the EK I 1939 (by itself) as a replacement for the EK I 1914+1939 spange ?

What puzzles me: if an officer received the EK I 1914 and the 1939 spange would it be weird that this person has an EK I 1939 even if it isn't mentioned in his records/dienstaltersliste ?

      Kris.

If someone was awarded the 1914 EK1, he would not be permitted to wear a 1939 EK1 in its place. Only the 1914 EK1 with the appropriate Spange would be legitimate.
