The nuber on the ring is 49, tuckers book calls 49 Josef Feix Sohne,
48 is Richard Feix,
in Gordons book on page 73 49 is JFS, page 484 we think the 49 is a typo(misprint),

Hi,
I also have JFS EK2 (marked 49 on the ring) in the award packet (same marking), except the packet is tan. From memory it looks the same as the one above - unissued but dull finish (never frosted imo). As to whether my example is actually original, I don't know for sure, but the quality is good.
