Hey guys, I need a little expert help here. As you may know, I am a collector of US militaria...I'm no expert of TR stuff at all but I have had this Iron Cross in my collection for several years- I got it from a German friend, it was his father-in-laws. I plan on selling this piece but I don't know the mfg or the value. Can anyone help me? I would appreciate any feedback.

WOW David! The cross is very nice but that watch fob looks to be a very rare piece indeed....
I am most interested in following this to see if any info (Other fobs are known to be in collections? Or known to have been awarded) can be given.
Lucky You!
Does it look like the lower section of ribbon was added perhaps after 1939? I Cannot remember seeing a fob like this anywhere, Can you post a shot of the backside for us to drool over?
Thanks for sharing these!

I'll take a shot at a ballpark figure on the EK1. The fob is something else. For the EK1 I would say anywhere from $225 to a high of $275 US. It would be more desirable if it was stamped with a maker's mark. I'd say you would be looking at the lower end of my estimate because it's unmarked and people just don't seem as interested in collecting unmarked examples. Of course the price may drop below that also, it's sometimes hard to tell how a sale will go. I've seen nice items sit unsold and over priced stuff go quick.

Seriously though I think the going rate is anything from $250 - $350 for an unmarked cross, it seems to vary alot depending on where you look and who the seller is.
