KC with Eichenlaub found in Norway.

Hi.

A friend has this destroyed Knights Cross with Eichenlaub.
He got it from a person who found it some years ago in a military junkplace togeather with some other German militaria from 2 ww.
It was found 10 meters from the sea in the ground.

So my question is: is this original or only another crap with some fantasy history ?

I think it's crap. The RK is for sure not a genuine example. The oaks don't look too good either.

Here is another good example what they do.
I think they have taken a fake Knigths Cross and broken it. Probably put it in a saltwater bath for some time, and then served a nice history to it, planning to sell it to some blueeyed collector.

I suppose the sea at the Norwegian coast isn’t salt?
The iron core has nothing what looks like old rust.
Then meters from a pool of salt water the core would have been disappeared years ago.
The rest probably also…

The core on this one is not magnetic.

There were very, very few EL holders in Norway. If this was genuine then the only scenario that would make sense is that it was discarded or buried in 1945. That means there must be a link between the find location and an EL holder.

So, where was it found?

It was found in a german military dumpingplace at Syreneset fort, Karmøy, it was said.
