    KVK 1st w/o swords , mm 65..opinions..

I received this cross in amongst a group of otherwise good combat awards..the problem is, that though this cross displays attributes of the L/15 Orth KVK 1 W/O swords crosses, in design and rear setup, it is marked 65 in a box, for Klein and Quenzer..

What exactly am i looking at here? postwar?

The cross is very nicely done, with polished highlights and a nice patina..the stippling in the arms is bold and pronounced, not soft and indistinct...

Hmm..yes..i punched in Floch KVK and came up this informative article..

            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=147722

Most notable is the same type of incuse relief '65' mm used on the EK series fakes, and the type 'B' pin with the cut-away at the shoulder..<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Perhaps if Bill lurks around here, he will see this article on these pesky little fakes..

Just checked and must say I'm really chocked. The L/15 is the classic Floch KVK and if you've just a minimum knowledge about KVK's you can spot it a mile away in thick fog.

As far as I know Mr Shea is respected dealer, so how it can show up on his site is beyond me
