Greetings Iron Cross maniacs. This one arrived today and I'm pretty happy with it. It's an EK1 by C. E Juncker, Berlin. This one is unmarked. I know most are all about maker marked pieces, but I like unmarked items too. Take this cross for example. These days you can never be sure if a Juncker marked piece with L/12 stamped on it had that stamped added later or not. And if that stamp is there, look out. You better be prepared to pay an outrageous sum for a not so rare piece, and who knows if the stamp is good. At current prices it would cetrainly make it worth someones while to add an L/12 stamp. I paid more for this item than I would for most unmarked pinbacks, but I figured it was the only way to add a nice undisputed Juncker to my collection without paying too much, which I wouln't do anyway. Sure it's unmarked, but no one can say Steve Campbell doesn't have a genuine Juncker in his collection. And I'm hundreds of dollars to the good over a marked piece. Thanks to Ben Bijker for a fair deal on this nice cross.
Also, this is my 100th Iron Cross, so I think it was a good one for that milestone.
