    My KVK2 ribbon

Hello. I have some question about the ribbon of my KVK 2. I used the UV light and the white line of the ribbon did not glow. I put some pictures of the ribbon. Please, tell me what is your opinion about ribbon and the pictures. Is it original or fake?
    Thanks

There is no evidence showed by you that make me think the ribbon is a copy.

The ribbon is original. It should have a dull, lifeless look under the blacklight as yours does. Both sides of your ribbon's edge has the typical period 'loop' which returns right back into the next row. The stitch is tight, multiple rows or weave across the ribbon. Copies today have less weave count, and have a weird 'whip-stitch' on one edge of the ribbon. Yours looks perfect. I have seen a lot of ribbons on the market, and have a rather large collection of period ribbons to compare. Period ribbons were made from a silk/cotton blend. If you pull out a thread from the end and touch the end with a match flame, it will burn clean and without any ash. Some of the poly copies just roll up when exposed to a flame, being synthetic. The loop on both edges should be the same, both front and back of the ribbon. The copies have an odd stitch, a whip-stitch, on one edge of one of the sides. Once you see it, you will never be confused again.
