    EK II in Übergrößegröße

I am in doubt, so I hope your advise helps.

I don't have an Übergrößegröße, so I've seen one and I want one.
    This is one (45 mm).
But: this is definately not the most beautiful EK I've ever seen.
Better said: it looks like it has been stored in a wet drawer.
On the other hand: € 150 sounds quite reasonable...

Go for it or leave it til I find one which satisfies more?

Looks like it might be a wide frame 24 ?

HAAAAA, lesson one: never trust a dealer!

Problem solved, it ain't an Übergrößegröße at all.
You saved me € 150 and a partial disappointment.
And another dealer has been striped off my trusted list:

          http://www.militariasammler.at/shop/...roduct=P003605

I punished myself with some hours of extra studying Gordon's bible...

          Thank you all!

Studying is how you reward yourself, not punish yourself.

              Have a look here...

              Hello,

Here is a thread link showing the Ubergrosse beside a standard EKII. If you have a look you will see the size difference.

My second blunder in one thread...

Will I ever be taken serious again?

Thanks for the comparising link, Stu!
I wish the people at militariasammler site had done so...

Gentlemen, once again: thank you all.
Once the greed is taking over me, it is good to be woken by clearminded collectors!

                  Martin,

the seller is not to blame in this case, since the dimensions are in the add.
If you had spent 5 minutes max. to do a search here you would have found out yourself that it is not what we call an "übergrosse"....

I have seen more of these crosses being advertised as "slightly oversized" or whatever.

What I am trying to say is: do your homework BEFORE you consider buying an item.
if the going price for an oversized ek is 500 Euro, then 150 Euro should ring a bell I guess???

It's quite easy to post and ask, but if you don't do you homework you will never learn anything about ek's.
Apart from that, in a while you will get zero replies to your postings.

                  Best regards,
                  Ben
