    thanks Jeroen for posting these two KC. The cross at the bottom reminded me of Ludwigs cross since it is very aged and also my cross is a "800" "." and also was awarded to a OL holder.

    The K&Q shows the veins i really also find quite attractive.

        Hi.

        Very nice Knigths Crosses
        Personal I like the used ones but I would love to have an early 'A' type flawless S&L in mint like the one shown here.

                  I have never understood the concept that quality and condition are the same thing. They are both simply two of many criteria that an antique or historical item should be evaluated with.

                  I do understand that different collectors weigh these criteria differently and I think that is fine.

                  I have always felt that the most important condition standard is to obtain items in as close as possible to the conditon that they were in during their period of use.

                  Dug relic collectors obviously have other standards.

                  I personally would prefer a solid attributed award in sound condition over an example that was never awarded but in minty condition. There are for sure some that cross both lines.
