To me, it looks like a RE-nazified 1957 Knight's Cross. Note the work around the swastika, almost like the swastika is soldered into place, on the core.

This fake has been around for a while now.....

They all have a defect (blob) between the 1 and 9. This one however, appears to have been 'worked' in a way to elimate the obvious giveaway!
