    Thank you, Robert!

Your approval means a lot to me, since I admire you and your collection a lot.
Seeing pics of your both cased '20' made me streaming the water out of my mouth...
You have a wonderfull crosses collection, probably one of the best that I know.
In comparison to your, mine is rather modest .

But indeed, I think this cross is getting a real good home.
It will find a nice resting place beside my RK.

There are some things I dreamt of owning since being a kid.
A RK, a DKiG, some numbered PAB's (received my '25' this week, '50' will be at his new home next month),...
Still some things to add (a nice panzer wrap for example), but that is the thrill of collecting. Waiting for the right moment to see a nice thing pop up, sharing experiences with other collectors, meeting new friends, learning new facts,...
That's what collecting is all about imho.

As you can read, i'm really pleased about this buy

      Nico,

You have found a very nice German Cross with much character from wear. Congratulations!

        Best,
Nico , thanks for the kind words. Reading this, I can only envy YOU. It is MY dream to some day own a numbered PAB or GAB, AND an RK! You are far ahead of me in the diversity of your collection. But, as you say, waiting for the right moment for the right piece is right.

Thank you again And I'd still love to have it on my combat M36.
        Robert

            Nico-

Congratulations. It really is a beautiful cross with honest wear, just what like to see I would be very happy to have this in my collection!

Just curious, but how much did it wind up selling for? It was already marked SOLD when I saw it this morning!

            Again, congrats

            Rob

Thanks everybody for the nice comments.

Rob, the cross went for $1975 all included (pp and sh).
Transfered to Euro, it was about 1400 euro. The crosses that I was watching at Claus Philip's site were going about 2000 euro (about $3000).
And this cross is in a "better" condition.
So, I did have indeed a bargain.

Robert, I try indeed to collect on a broad range: medals, cloth wear, uniforms, paperwork. Everything that I like and what is in my price range can become a victim for my wallet .

The meaning of my collecting, is to transfer my attic into my own private museum
A place into which i can retreat for a while, when life becomes to busy...

Congratulations, i think a few of us missed this one, i couldn't believe it when i saw it already sold
The right cross at the right price, well done
I must say that i have bought from Frank before, a very good guy & his prices are ALWAYS very fair, priced to sell.

it was not a Donald Duck, but a Mickey Mouse that I said.

And although I'm not gay, I like to play with your balls

                              Nico:

I must congratulate you as well! I have also been actively looking for one of these, in exactly such a nice condition myself. So, to see that you have found such a very nice one for what is also such a very nice price is very encouraging to me as well. So, I hope that such a price for such a piece will become more of a repeating opportunity than a stoke of good luck which only you may have.

After scouring the offerings on the various reptuable websites, I can fully appreciate the price you paid more than you may know. As a matter of fact, I was recently close to purchasing one in about the same condition for over $800.00 more, only because I couldn't find anything for any better, after a lot of searching. I had pretty much given up and nearly bit the bullet, before I read your success story today.

                              Chris

In the recent past, more crosses of this condition were sold in this price range. You need to spend time looking for the goodie to pop up.
It is like going out always to the same bar, never finding a nice girl and then...suddenly, there she is: the woman of your life.
The best deals I have done were always on the estand.
It is a great place to buy stuff, but you need to know the market value of something, because some sellers are asking prices that are above the dealers prices.

I would say: keep watching the estand, keep your money into the pocket for now and be fast when the time is there!
