    Opinions Needed on Cross in Gold

    Hello Guys,

    I could use some help on this German Cross in Gold. Before I purchase this Cross in Gold I need to know if it's a real or fake one. Cross in Gold is by #20 maker.

              The year 1941 on your cross look different if i compare with mine 20 Zimmerman.

                I think it looks like a zimmermann. maybe it would be better if both of you posted a close up of the date..

                  I can't see the 10 o'clock flaw in the Sunburst (it should be there) and maybe a better close up of the date would help ( am I seeing dots ?)
                  Also the MM ..

                        What is unfortunate about the dotted version? I never had any problems with the authenticity of this type and they have been SEM tested without any noticeable differences.

                        It is just a variation of the wartime Zimmermann German Cross.

                        Anyone who believes they are copies can sell them to me for discounted prices.

                          Guys you really need to do some searching before making general accusations and comments you know NOTHING about

                          Bob is correct.

                          One fellow (that got his ass bannished here) went to extremes to prove these were fake as a vendetta. He failed (obviously) when his SEM tests revealed that the paint et. al. were in fact period.

                          Since then he's been as quiet as a mouse .. or maybe because he's still trying to stuff those crow feathers down his grubby throat

                          Anyway ... most have stayed away from these because of the scare tactics that came out from all that crap some months and years ago.

                          That's what happens when unfounded rumors and OPINIONS are taken as gospel folks ... take a look at the K&Q thread for another prime example.

                          If you don't know the facts DON'T pollute threads like these with unsubstantiated gossip and bogus opinions
