    Original S&L RKs

    Hi folks,
Lets try to post images of war time produced S&L RKs in both 800 and 935 silver.

Skipper I would love to see your RK posted here, it is a lovely piece and I also feel it is 100% good.

Here is my piece, it was veteran obtained and is a slight variation with the rough finished core. I would also like to add that the core wiggles just a slight bit in the frame. I have read that only some Zimmermann RKs will do this, well this one moves a tiny tiny bit as well.

So lets post pics of war-time S&L RKs.

Here is the reverse. As is typical, it has the 4 935 hallmark upside down. The ribbon loop is also hallmarked 935.

Sorry for the 2nd scan being too big. Here is a close-up of the reverse center.

By the way, the ring at the top of the RK has been slightly bent I guess that is due to wear.

              RK

              Richard,
am I correct that there is only the tiniest beginnings of a die flaw in the 3:00 arm and no flaw in the 6:00 arm?
I'm not trying to open a can of worms but I do want to add an S & L RK to my collection, and I want to make the most educated decision that I can.
              Thanks,
              Erich

Yes there is the tiniest flaw on the obverse on the 3 o'clock arm and no where else on the cross.

Guys, I think looking at pictures of RKs is like watching girls walk by on a summer day. I never get tired of seeing the parade. Thanks for posting these pics!

                    Thanks Richard!
And I like the crosses, too, Walter, but I don't know if I'd go that far!

                      Hi Guys,
I don't see a flaw on my arm, but I guess since it is in 935 silver it is softer to work with.

                        Hello Jody,
I've seen a number of 935 4's and none has had the flaws. I assume that it is indeed because of the softer metal used.
