    Oakleaves with Swords

    To all advanced collectors!

I have posted a thread about the leather skin case of the Oakleaves with Swords in the Forum “Cases and Packets” and I would like to invite you, to take part with your knowledge at the discussion.

    Andy

P.S. Marcus Hatton is so friendly to post as soon as possible a photo of genuine “21” Godet Oakleaves with Swords here.

Be very careful with these!!! But I think we need better pictures to be more determined.

With these photos I would stay well away.

It is already astonishing how quickly somebody can give an opinion about the originality of a so rare decoration like the Swords on the bases of a simple photo. Anyhow, I couldn't do it, although I have been collecting for over 25 year rare German awards and documents.

However, I can assure that the illustrated item is a guaranteed original one. It comes directly from the family of the recipient and all characteristic details for the originality of “21” Godet Swords exactly correspond. This can clearly recognize even without a microscope.

This photo should only serve as an eye catcher to point out to my thread about the original leather skin Sword case. There I would wish more opinions of experienced collectors particularly from such collectors which have also Swords in their collection.

              Andy,

maybe you misunderstood me. What I was saying is that one cannot say with such pictures whether the set is real or not. I certainly can't.
