    KVK Screwback

Posting this on behalf on Schonbeck who has offered it on the Estand. Would value your opinions as I am thinking of buying it.

These are the only photos available at present. Maybe Schonbeck would be able to post further photos later today...

              hi
this is the information I got when I bought it.

This cross comes from a friend of mine in Germany, he said that he bought it from a family. The family said that the receiver died before he received it, and the family got it some weeks or so after his death.

              Pictures of the inside....

It doesn't have the same die characteristics as my pinback "1" (different stippling, different sword hilts, different-sizes swaz). Not to say that they couldn't have use a different die for their screwback....
But would a screwback have a P number instead of an LDO number? Screwbacks were private purchase pieces, not awarded. Right?

                    hi
I might have got i wrong since I translated the letter from german to english. Maybe the cross was already orderd by the receiver when he died. Private purchaseis ofcourse a possibility. I guess we will never know.
I can say that in reality the cross is better than on the photos.
For me it looks like agood one.
