    L/13 EK1 Old Style Pin

Just got this Meybauer EK1. The interesting think about this one is it's marked on the pin L/13, which is actually the early old style coke bottle pin, not the pin that Meybauer later switched to that you think an L/13 marked cross would have.

Here's the rear showing the L/13 mark on the pin. This was a nice addition to my Meybauer side collection.

A very nice EK1. I have a Maybauer which is the same only that is not marked but the pin and hinge is the same.

      Take a peak :

Nice one. I also have one like that unmarked, but when I had the chance to get one marked I had pick it up.

I also had one of these, and gave it my son's father-in-law for his first EKI. He lives in northern Idaho, near Haden Lake, and has a footlocker full of TR buckles, etc. from all the skinheads up there. He said northern Idaho is full of TR misc.

That would have been a nice gift Robert. I guess these were old stock that was lying around and got stamped with the LDO mark.

Yeah, I guess so too. When I first posted this cross many years ago on the forum it was kind of an odd EK. There just weren't too may like this with the very small L/13 stamp in circulation. I have an unmarked type also with no stamp, fairly common...

                    Hello,

this kind of stamp on the old style pin is quite OK and not very often to see
with the L/13 stamp. It encounters you a tad more often with 7 stamp.

                    Best Franki
