    New Deumer Clamshell

Xmas came early. A few new items have arrived. Here's one. A Duemer with the clamshell screwback. An interesting variation. This one is unmarked and has the copper plated core that many Deumers seem to have. What's the story on these? Are they early pieces that used old WW1 stock? These must have been the first TR era screwbacks were they?

That pinback was my first 1939 EK1 and I've always liked the look of it, with the copper plating showing through on the high points. The screwback is almost identical in this respect, so they look good together.

              Steve ,

You're amazing me tonight. So many new EK's, and very nice outstanding examples!

              What next?

                Hello,

I have seen this cross pin and clem shell always without a stamp yet.
The pin back apears from time to time with the 11 stamp but the washer one I have never seen, as mentioned, with a stamp.

I wonder if anybody have this kind with manufacturer stamp.

                Best Franki

This is why I think these may have been the first screwbacks.

                    Nice cross Steve.
The copper swaz showing through the black paint is very cool.

Not to get too far off of the original topic, but here is another early screwback 1939 EK 1.
