    EK1 ,marked L15

Hello! I`m novice up here and asking simple question- original or fake?
    Bit worried about "1939".

    Thank You!

I think it looks like a Souval, I don't know about the backside and the pin, but the front got the details of a Souval

why are you worried about the 1939 date? the dipping 3 is typical on Souvals...

You sure its L-15 on the pin? ain't that Otto Schickle? Im getting confused now myself

It's an original EK I with Souval core and Souval frame.
There are original L15 EK's with Souval parts, too.
Souval provided some other maker's with cores and frames, too.

The history of schickle EK's is very complex, because they got problems with the LDO.

              Thank You for Your attention!
              L15 means-Friedrich Orth.Wien,am I correct?
Ok,but now I got another problem...-did Fr.Orth produced also cases, for EK-s. Can somebody show it to me
I think its nessesary to Me, to find one for my EK,without it it looks littlebit naked.
              All the best!!!

No ... L15 is for Otto Schickle, 15 is for Friedrich Orth. Unless I've missed something I have never hear of a relationship between Schickle and Souval.

I agree the obverse frame appears to be Souval, and the core does have the "dipping" 3. However, the swastika and reverse hardware are not what I would typically like to see with any of these three makers.

                    Hello,

I would also like to add that the cross is period; the L/15 with the long pin.

I'd like to see the other variation (short pin?) of this one. Where is the other examples of Souval and Otto Schickle?

First off, I thought this was an Orth example, and second off I was talking about the Floch's with a shorter style pin and similar maker mark.

I hate to say it ... but I'm thinking along those lines .... (with the Floch angle)

                            Hi! Some more-

                            pin is made of brass.

Question is- what kind of case would fit for this cross ??

I've got an L15 with a Souval frame that is regarded as real. I'll post it in the morning.
