    935 4 Rk

    Hi All!

I've been waiting impatiently for Dietrich's book to come in the mail, and it finally showed today! It is an amazing resource, but I still need opinions on this 935 4 that I've been offered. Any opinions would be appreciated. Unfortunately I do not have a good picture of the dent row or the 6/9 arm.

Odd..........that ring/eye looks like it is jumping off the frame!

Is this really an S&L cross? I've never seen one with a ring that high.

              I don't think this is a S&L at all.

I didn't like the ring or the numbering of the 935. The incuse 4 is what is 'normal' but the 935 is not.

You are right to be suspicious. The beading pattern is not S&L, the 1813 date is too low, I think this is one of those so called Latvian fakes...with a fake ribbon to top it all.

                    Thanks Harry.

Does anyone else think it is sad that fakes are so popular that they have names?

This 'fake' has been around for quite a while...note the flaw between the 1 and 9!
                      Regards,

Its funny.. Once someone points out the flaws, it is so easy to see them. I guess that is what comes with being lifetime member 86 and years of research. Thanks Dave.

if this is a fake, its not too bad if you get it for $50

I think that I had one of the first of these offered to me around 10 years ago from a guy in Seattle.

The famous 1 to 8 flaw.

                              Hello,
I agree the cross is not original. You can compare it the the original in my collection-big difference.

                              Regards,
                              Jody
