      I have absolutely no problem with Alikn's dual EK combo pin - I believe it's authentic. These 2-piece, large/smal EK pins can be found in many period sales catalogs. The only thing I think is 'unusual' is the ring added to the larger of the two crosses. I wouldn't toss it out of my collection because of that added detail.

        What would the WW1 combination - with one big and one smaller cross - show? That is really funny.

        I also do not have a problem with one big and one small 1939 edition - however it is against regulations. But it is also inside the regulation in fo far that there is no confusion.

        The ring on Alikn's combo is extremely strange and not even necessary. I really don't know...

          Another variation

          Here is another variation of the 1st and 2nd class EK's in enamel and made in one piece then soldered to the stickpin.

            Thanks for that picture, it does look like that is the same die, the date is not very clear on that picture, but here some other identical flaws.

              Does not look like the same one to me. Beading areas are quite different. Maybe Dietrich has a better pic?
