    EK 1 / IC 1 Souval ???

    Hi ;-)

Due to have the guarantee of return if it is not original, I like to read your opinion about this Iron Cross 1st. class without maker mark.
I paid 130 Euro and I want to be sure if I can keep this IC 1st. class for my collection?

    Original or crap?

    Many Thanks ;-)

    Kind regards

    Stefan

    Hallo ;-)

Da ich Rückgaberecht auf Originalität habe, bitte ich um eure Meinung zu diesem EK1 ohne Hersteller. Der Preis war 130 Euro, also behalten oder zurück geben?

    Original oder Gurke?

    Vielen Dank ;-)

    Gruss

    Stefan

        Souval frame EKI

        Hello,

I think it's an authentic Souval frame EKI. As the core has the thin Swas and does not have the Dipped 3 I believe that it's one of those assembled by another maker who used Souval frames. I believe that the standard Souval core has the fat Swas and Dipped 3. It can always be argued that Souval used another maker's cores at some point. To the best of my knowledge we don't really know which way it was but I believe that both types are referred to as Souval EKI regardless.

As you are probably aware Souval continued to produce EKI post war but as this doesn't have the standard core I believe it to be a pre 45 issue.

As to price...I think that 130 Euro is appropriate for the cross.

        Regards,
        Stu

              Hello,

I like this one, and it indeed does not have a Souval core.

I think it's an EK I by Orth.
The maker used souval frames, too.

                    Hi!

I have the same opinion. Die reverse Setup looks like it was used from Ort and it's a well known fast that Ort manufactured much EK 1st Class (most SB) withe Souval framework.

                    Regards
                    Andreas
