Eisernes Kreuz 2. klasse - Maker?

    Hi!

Recieved this EK today, and wondered if anyone could help me ID the maker? I have an idea, but want to hear your opinions first!

    Thank you!

I believe it could be a Brehmer? Anyone agree/disagree?

            Hello,

I think you are right. Your cross looks like a typical Gustav Brehmer (13) to me. The only thing is Bob's cross does look a little unusual. The core is definitely the same as a typical Bremher but the frame does look a bit strange. Then again it could just be the photo.

            Regards,
            Stephen

Just so that I have as much info as possible, what is it that looks strange about the frame on the cross I posted, which was said to be a Brehmer? (Jørgen, I don't mind you using the photo at all....)

              Thanks very much.
              Bob.

                Hello Bob,

It just looks as if there is excess material around the beading on the frame. But as I said it could just be the photo so do you see anything like that when you look at the cross?

                Regards,
                Stephen

                  Thanks, Stephen,
I see what you mean, now....thanks for pointing it out in the photo. I don't really see that in hand, and I think that the black of the core reflects a bit of a shadow on the beading creating that illusion.

                  Cheers,
                  Bob.

                    Hello Bob,

I had a funny feeling it was probably just the photo but I just wanted to make sure.

                    Regards,
                    Stephen

                      Ek2

Hi. I will buy a EK2, the seller sent me this picture. He told me the maker is RUDOLF SOUVAL (98) (L/22).

What do you think about that?
