A couple weeks ago, I posted a marked L/18 EK2 Spange for opions, and it was confirmed a good one indeed. Now I notice the prongs on my spange are different from this one at the base. Did L/18 make 2 different type of prongs one for marked and another for unmarked spange ? Your answer is appreciated, thank you!

If that was the case, could you tell me the bellow spange (the back side is above) is zinc or buntmetal? Thanks,

It certainly looks buntmetal to me. Usually on zinc piece you'll see a weldplate between the badge and the pins/catch. But, not always is this the case with zinc 2nd class spanges. Most of the time the prongs are still welded/soldered directly to the badge. This is an exception. But looking at your first spange it is evident this badge is zinc, and the weldplates confirm this even more strongly.

Here's an unmarked L/18 in my collection...actually this could be a variant to the L/18. The '3' in 1939 is slightly different on top. But it could just be the angle of the photo too.

I'd agree with Robert regarding the different prongs used on the different materials.
and I've seen both materials marked and unmarked
