    New EK I - L/56

Just received this L/56 off a forum member, the best condition i have in my collection & on the rarity list it seems to be quite a rare maker mark. Has also shown me just how different some EK's are when i saw it next to my 26 EK I, have posted a picture at the end of both of them together, has been a good lesson for me.

Here's the L/56 & 26 next to each other, how different could two crosses be!

                Hi!

The EK 1st Class by Funcke & Brüninghaus (Lüdenscheid) L56 or PKZ 116 is really a nice example.
The B.H. Mayer L/18 or PKZ 26 is also more than nice.

You're right. This two crosses together shows how high are the differences between some crosses.
The 26 is more what i call the "Deumer-Style" and the L/56 looks a little bit like Schinkel-Style crosses.

If you put a picture of a Deschler and a L/56 together the difference is much more.
In every case: Congrads for your new EK 1

                Regards
                Andreas

Thanks everyone for your comments & yes Mike you have to get in quick these days, then you need to sell stuff to pay for it!
Andreas, it was my 14 year old daughter who noticed the differences first, you are correct, the L/56 looks like a schinkel, i put it next to my shinkel EK II & they are quite similar. When in the hand the L/56 & 26 do look even more different than in that picture.
I would love to see a Deschler & a L/56 next to each other.
Every day i learn a little more

                    Hello,

A beautiful cross; you always see a nice 26 but the L/56 is really something.

Thanks William, i was really sweating on the L/56 in that condition as i wasn't first to it, luckily the other buyer backed out.
You do see a lot of great condition 26's, but they are a very nice cross.
