Is this cross made in brass?

Hi,
I bought this cross many years ago, after know his maker (S&L) i would like to know if it is made in brass, it have a little scratches and looks brass, or not?
I´m not expert on crosses.

On my monitor the hinge and catch look to be potentially brass(both appear to have a heavy emphasis on copper) but the frame looks like Nusilber.

Are you trying to ascertain if the frame or core is brass?

A magnet would solve that mystery.

The core have a little scratch and looks brass.I have not a magnet, but i will try to found one somewhere today.

At last the core is magnetic, but the hinge, pin and catch are not magnetic, perhaps made in brass? the frame is not magnetic too.What metal is this?

The frame definately looks like Nusilber to me.
Nusilber is Non magnetic.
It is an alloy composed of Nickel,zink and copper.

Its also known as "Nickel silver".

As for the Hinge,pin and catch,id say from the exposed metal on some of the edges and high points,that its Brass.
It does appear to have a copper coating on top of the Brass,which was a technique used to help the top finish adhear to the base metal.

Brass as you know is also Non magnetic.
