    Interesting denazified L/10 EK1

Just got this veteran. L/10 stamped on the reverse of the cross and on the screw disk. Did an internet search on the "Wehrenberg 1945" scratched on the back but found nothing. Any ideas? I like how the threaded part of the screw disk must have broken off and it looks like a regular screw was soldered on with drops of molten steel.

Anyone out there have a screwback Deschler & Sohn screwback that I can compare to? Love to see one in minty glory... BTW, there isn't one on the WA site, there is a pinback but not a screwback...

You would be wise to try and get your money back. I seriously doubt if anyone on the forum will come up with an L10 marked screwback. The only accepted L marked screwbacks are L56 and L58.

              Photo Finish?

Thanks Chet, I appreciate your interest in the thread! After consulting the database it appears that the "1939" on mine is a match to the L/10 and the 1 pinback listed. Unfortunately the swastika isn't there to compare! Now, the frames might match but I can't tell absolutely because of resolution issues. Could anyone email me a good high resolution file of a Deschler & Sohn EK1? I'm not sure what I have here... Its definitely a two part frame and iron core. The L/10 on the disk is smaller than the L/10 on the cross. Thanks in advance...

                  /QUOTE]

That is a very interesting cross of yours, to say the least, Luudje. I recall reading that thread before, never thought that I would end up with its poor cousin! Since there isn't one listed in the database here, why don't you contact a moderator and have them put yours up? If I have one too, there must be other Crosses that were private orders for screwbacks from Deschler & Sohn.

The words on the back of my Cross refer to Wehrenberg, Germany near Bremen; the date is obvious. I bought this in Germany so its not a period US Vet bringback.
No way to tell its story, so I guess the story starts with me now...

Ouch, my bad and my apologies. On the bright side I've learned something new. Perhaps someone else can enlighten me more so as to wether there are more than three L marked screw discs?

Ausgang, maybe it's a poor cousin, but it's cousin I would love to have in my collection

Chet, you don't need to apologize.
I'm self surpised to see another Deschler screw-back.
And I'm also surprise that the disc is marked.
The disc is the same as mine, but my disc isn't marked (I think).
I will take a look at it tomorrow.
