I got an EK2 in the packet(also have the packet for the ribbon) from a friend of my grandmothers in Germany, and the medal is in unworn condition...but the red part of the ribbon has faded to an orange color..i know its a real medal because i've known the familly for many years..but all the ribbons i have seen from EK2s seem to be as red as the day they were issued..why is mine faded to orange? is this normal...or is the ribbon fake?
