Cloth German Cross in Gold....any good?

If I had to go strictly based on the few of these that I've seen since I joined recently - I'd have to assume counterfeit. The thread quality just seems.. I don't know. Also the silver that lines the hackencreuz seems sub-par to some others I've seen. I'm relatively new to the area of collecting - so I could very well be false in my assumptions - especially if there are different makers of this.

I'm going on past ones I've seen in this forum and doing my best for comparison. Maybe I am wrong?

I am certainly not ready to sat that it is bad, but it is different from the norm. The wreath and swastika look OK, but the starburst is 'different'.

Hi Guys, re the starburst. Bear in mind these were hand done, by different makers. Do a search on the forum and you will find pics of good original crosses and compare the details.

Here is mine as an example. Others will display different silver wire details to the starburst.

I agree that it looks "different from the norm." However, I'm not sure that this is not different from the norm, but original. I will at least say that since it is a piece that would generate some doubt and need for excuses and explanations, I would not want it in my collection. However again, that does not mean that it is bad.
