... all sets I have on file are like the ones Johnnie_Walker shows: end on the right. Even if one turns a loos loop around, the end is again on the right. So jcwater's piece has either a replacement or a 'wrong wired' loop or somebody made a mistake...

But I have to say very clearly: whether a set of oaks or swords is 100% real cannot be determined with pictures on an Internet Forum. One can say - if obvious - that it might be a fake. But not if it is real!

Genuine or not is not determined by the loop - it is determined by the Oaks itself. This I would not dare to do with only pictures - in this case.

I have no opinions on the authenticity of any of these items, but if they are real....

Hi Dietrich, I see no problem with the end of the loop on the left at all as there are more known examples in collections?

                Thanks

                    Just referring to this statement.

                    Thanks Kevin

The statement about "mistake" refers to something else, though.
