    Cased 1939 Opinions

Cased 1939 Opinions. Is the case 3rd Reich? Is the cross authenic? If so who made it? I cant find a purple lined 1939 case nor can I find a repo cross like this.

        Hi Jimmy,

Both EK and Case are original. However, the case is for WW1 or interwar period.

Looks like an early Deumer cross.

Thanks a bunch Darrell. You are definitely one of the good guys. That was the way I got it many years ago. But as of late I've come to question the case as being 3rd Reich. I have many nice 1914's who'd love to have a nice home like that. Again thanks. You are a gentleman and a scholar.

            Hi Jimmy,

Darrell has correctly I'd the cross as genuine and the case as a genuine Imperial (1914) example. You may have received them that way, but I think it would be OK to find a nice flatback wartime awarded 1914 EK1 and give it a new home.

            Regards
            Mike
