In my opinion a fake. The coils ((((( in the frame are a bit unrefined. The swastika is far of to the left. The dates are a bit crude, in particular the "9". The rust does not appear natural to me.

Maybe I'm wrong but it seems to resemble an ubergrosse.

              Hi Gary,
My first impression was the same as Peter's regarding the crude numbers but I think Stephen may have got it spot on, can you post some measurements to confirm?

and the reverse... to my eyes, the beading on the inner corners is a fairly good match.

Take a look at these fake RK's. Both samples are from the same source. Study the rust and methods used to produce it. Imagine the way of thinking that was done when these fake RK's was produced. Compare this with the same in the cross that started this thread.

                        It's original.
It's the little brother of an "Uebergroeße" EK II.
                        This version is very rare.

The measurements of the cross I posted are 47.00 wide and 46.90 high. Mind you, the frame on your EK has got much thinner rims than mine.
Can you measure the distance between the inner edges of the beading?

It will not fit as it is not a "Übergroße".
