A fake that I believe has been discussed quite a few times already...try doing search for "named Iron Cross" or "engraved cross".

The cross is a fake, so there's no chance for the "engraving" - which would have alarm bells ringing on anything purporting to be pre-45.

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

Yep, same one. From what I can remember the seller is quite convinced it's real

Thanks for the info guys. I will tell you all that this is a collector out of Poland who is trying to move alot of items. He emailed me with a few 1st $ 2nd EK's as well as some daggers and helmets. Because the feelings are the same about this cross I will stay away from all the rest of what he has. Thanks again for the help...Rob.

Did he want you to pay a sum of money before shipping? that was my case and yea from Poland, he stated that he has some freinds in some polish governmental service and stuff....all shaky..... Then after a while a Russian guy sent me an email, of "goods" and there too i would have had to pay some money, before shipping... they are bullshi..ing around....

                  Cheers.

I would have to go with the 'or what'.

ABSOLUTELY FAKE and of very poor quality!!!Be careful also from items which came from Poland or Tzechoslovakia, there are so many blanks ID tags carefully engraved with elite and rare units.....

Another reason why I am tired to collect.....

good old Pawel Nowak at it again, he is a crook and wanted for fraud in the US.
Also note the photos all have different backgrounds, should be red flag 1.
He wants peanuts for it, today with internet and all he can get the idea of proper value, red flag 2.
HOW does he get your email and knows you are a collector ? Red flag 3.

Stay away from Pawel Nowak, he is a well known crook.

Always, Always, Always, Always, Always check the fakes gallery first! It's saved me more than once. Plus, listing a fake is the only way to get any satisfaction after having been ripped off. Here's the answer, as if you didn't know by now? Scroll to the botton and laugh:
