To the readers:

It has to be noted that the theory developped by BS concerning the fact that von Thoma received a SCiGmB is one possiblity BUT that there is another one (which will be developped in an article that Jacques Calero and I are writting for the forum with different logic and information) saying that he only received a SCiG.
The fact is that today, as far as I know, NOBODY can show a good quality picture of von Thoma where he is seen without doubt with a SCiGmB. Maybe if somebody was able to produce one, we could fix this issue

And with the words of my friend François, I have cleaned up closed this thread. Unless there is new information based on some actual evidence, please do not start another thread on this subject. We have been kicking around the same information for far too long. I ask the readers of this forum indulgence while we get the final report on the Spanish Cross ready for publishing on Wehrmacht-Awards.com.
