Hi all, just think its super how you guys can tell by just looking at a photo if a medal is the real thing or not, what are the tell tale signs you are looking for, that helps you to do this?

Pin, Beading, Hinge, Catch, Paint, Core, patina, materials being used, die flaws, etc etc... just to name a few.
I recommend posting the badge and learning that way. once posted, ASK questions WHY that badge is good or bad if you don't understand or you only receive answers like "That is a fake" without explanation, otherwise you'll die dumb!
The good originals can usually be compared to other originals by the same maker.
Over time, you'll get an eye for the typical "Deumer" Pin assembly, or the "Souval" Corners (both are EK makers).
