There are 4 standard versions of Schinkel EK II:
    - threepart, magnetic (maker Deumer) > most version
    - threepart, non-magnetic (maker Deumer)
    - one piec, non-magnetic (maker unknown)
    - threepart, magnetic (maker Meybauer)

The Meybauer Schinkel EK's have another design like the Deumer Schinkel EK's (most version).

Interesting. Can you tell who made my Shinkel?

Here's the rear. Knowing the maker would be great. Thanks.

it was my understanding that the accepted case for the schinkle's ek1 was the domed one. this is because both items were of early construction. i discussed this some time ago with another member of this forum as well as with gordon williamson. any additional comments from you, or any other members, is appreciated.

              Meybauer

You see it on the number design. Meybauer used the "normal" number design (like other normal EK II's) and Deumer used an own number design, which you can see only on the Schinkel EK II's.

So mine is a Meybauer? That's great news. I'm working on getting as many diffrent Meybauer EKs as possible as a long term project. Right now all I have is an early unmarked 1939 EK1 and a 1914 EK1 with the Meybauer hallmark. If this is a Meybauer Shinkel, that's a bonus. Which one is harder to find, Meybauer or Duemer? Thanks for the help.
