    Schinkel "B"?

    Hello everybody,

I was just browsing the gmic forum and this exact cross was on it being described as an orginal Schinkel "B" and nobody objected. I always thought this type of EK2 was deemed a fake. Am I right or am I missing something here?

    Regards,
    Stephen

Original and I would love to have it in my collection. I have never been able to find one.

      Hi Bob,

It was just that on the E-stand a couple of months ago there was an EK2 for sale described as Schinkel "B" and it was said to have been a "Straight Leg" fake. So I mistakenly thought that every EK2 described as a Schinkel "B" was fake. Thanks for clearing that up for me Bob. You learn something new everyday, don't you.

      Regards,
      Stephen

            Bob,

After seeing the amazing items you have in your collection these Schinkel "B"s must be unbelievably rare if you are still looking for one.

            Regards,
            Stephen

Great schinkels Marc. That what I love about collecting EK2s. So many different variants out there. Now, where to find an ubergrosse for my collection.

                Regards,
                Stephen

                  Hi Stephen

They are indeed rare and hard to find.

I think the "straight arm fake" you mention had the regular 3.
The originals come with a round 3

                  Regards,
                  Ben

The fake with normal 3 design.
At the moment I believe it's a regular post war variant for veterans.

                          They are very, very rare.
I waited 3 years for one chance.

                            They sure are rare.
I picked mine up at an online-auction were it was listed in the copy-section (priced accordingly )

                            Best regards,
                            Ben
