EK IC w/ engraving (name + date) on back

I've got a somewhat "salty" Iron Cross 1st Class with the name "Werner Stefczyk" and the date "7.12.41" engraved on the back of the cross. I would like to solicit opinions from Forum members as to whether the cross and the engraving are Third Reich period.

If anyone is willing to post photos, please e-mail me at asmith@bakerdonelson.com and I'll e-mail the photos to you.

    Thanks,

    Alan Smith

I have forwarded the photos to Rainer Schmitt, who generously offered to post them for me. Hopefully Rainer will have the photos posted for everyone's review in fairly short order.

Sorry but i dont like the look of that cross from this shot, So its a double no no from me, The cross is not symetrical or even close, The hinge looks wrong for any i have come across, And the materials just dont look right.
Isnt there an engraved one of these on the EK fake pages?

No Floch copy, but a copy.

It's a "Rounder" copy of an EK I, like the KC "Rounder" copies.

Excellent copies of what? How could anyone belive the beading on this thing? Also as someone else noted, the cross isn't symetrical.
