    Is this EK1 a ........floch?

It looks like one to me but I would like some opinions please! The inner cross is magnetic. It is not mm'd and I wondered if it was an Orth? Many thanks.

    2. I think that I can see the beading overlap at the inner edge...also, the date seems very shallow and not well defined...

Seig,,I do not believe these pins as Floch. I went through this the other day because I always forget about Orths. The Floch type pin is shorter and has a wider middle. Check the very top also of your cross and their might be a dimple dead center on the 12 0clock arm.

Also for reference, maybe something like this should be pinned.

            Left is good
            Right is bad

Thanks Dion, I found your thread after I'd posted it. As I looked closer, I realised that the pin seems to be marked L12, and the hook is not a floch I don't think.

                  L/12 is CE Juncker

I like 15s and these with soft swaz.

Iam not sure if all flochs have that floch pin, but they are not hard to miss.

That is a L/13 not L/12, made by Maybauer

Hey - That's the one I did, thanks to this Forum, NOT fall for when I took pix of it and posted them. It might still be sitting in that Nyack, NY Antiques store, so be careful when you go shopping up there, Yanks!
I don't know where I put that picture, but don't the Flochs have that die flaw in the upper right corner of the top arm?

Thanks for the graphic rainier,,Iam tired of the good pins getting a bad rap to being a floch pin.

Thanks Merrik for pointing the Meybauer catch out ,I was lazy last night
